Jacarta Data Center Alerting

Environmental Monitoring products for data centres, server rooms, racks and wiring closets.
Jacarta solutions can monitor your critical environment and rapidly alert you when an alarm incident occurs so that you can take remedial action quickly and effectively. We believe that the quality and reliability of these types of solution backed by rapid and first class alerting options are of paramount importance when such a crucial job needs to be done.

The Jacarta Alert Centre facility is a subscription-based service that works in conjunction with our environmental monitoring devices to provide automatic alarm notification via Email, SMS and voice alarm messages (to landline or mobile phones) to up to 6 recipients. The alerting process ensures key personnel are notified and the alarm acted upon via an escalation and acknowledgement process. Easy access to change personnel details, contact numbers, etc. is available via the Jacarta Alert Centre Login facility.

The Jacarta interSeptor is designed to protect data centres, server rooms and racks by preventing computer equipment damage and data loss due to over-heating, excess moisture, water ingress, fire, power failures, security breaches, and many other potentially catastrophic environmental threats.

interSeptor Pro is an advanced ethernet Data Centre and Rack Monitoring System that monitors room and rack environmental conditions and provides early warning alerts in the event of air-conditioning failure and other conditions that may threaten business continuity.

interSeptor iMeter® is a flexible, scalable and ultimately extremely powerful solution that enables IT departments to monitor the power flowing into racks and the environmental conditions in and around those racks.

PowerFox8 is a feature-rich 1U 10/100 power monitoring, environmental monitoring and power switching system. As well as enabling you to monitor and log the power usage of total and individual equipment loads of up to 15A, the PowerFox8 will also monitor temperature, humidity and door security and provide email alerts when power or environmental alarms occur.

Enviro SP2

SP2 is an ethernet device that provides monitoring of one or two connected environmental sensors. Simply connect the SP2 to your network, assign an IP address, plug in the sensors and away you go! SP2 is supplied complete with a temperature probe but additional Optional Sensors are also available. SP2 automatically detects any sensors attached to ensure swift configuration. The SP2 is supplied with a 9V dc power adapter, and the sensors require no additional power supplies or batteries.

ENVIROMUX Server Environment Monitoring System

The ENVIROMUX® Server Environment Monitoring System monitors critical environmental conditions, such as temperature, humidity, liquid presence, motion, intrusion, and vibration.

When a sensor goes out of range a configurable threshold, the system will notify you via email, LEDs, alarm beacon, web page, network management (SNMP), and SMS messages (via external GSM modem).

The system includes three internal sensors: temperature, humidity and power. It also supports 16 external configurable sensors and eight digital input sensors. It can now graph the data from these sensors using MRTG for a visual representation of the environmental conditions being monitored.

Up to eight IP network video cameras can be associated with each ENVIROMUX for a live view of a facility from anywhere, anytime.

NetBotz 420

The NetBotz 420 is a fully featured monitoring solution ideal for small to medium-sized spaces that require comprehensive monitoring capabilities with moderate expandability. This next-generation solution has a modular architecture that gives the user tremendous flexibility along with rich image graphics and integrated environmental monitoring. The appliance form factor is plug-n-play, and can be up and running within 30 minutes. The web interface provides immediate sensor readings, real-time camera images, and immediate configuration. The appliance can also be wirelessly connected to an 802.11b wireless LAN. SSL encryption is standard on the NetBotz 420, providing secure transmission of alerts to prevent potential interception and misuse of camera and audio clips. Alerts can be sent via email, SNMP, or text messaging. Customizable thresholds and alert policies include specialized threshold types such as rate-of-change and above-value-too-long. Alerts can now include graphs as well as pictures, and separate alert actions can be triggered at different alert severity levels.

The NEWPORT® iTHX transmitter let's you monitor and record Temperature, Relative Humidity and Dew Point over an Ethernet network or the Internet with no special software except a Web Browser.

The NEWPORT iTHX serves Active Web Pages to display real time readings, display charts of temperature and humidity, or log data in standard data formats for use in a spreadsheet or data acquisition program such as Excel or Visual Basic. The virtual chart viewed on the web page is a JAVA™ Applet that records a chart over the LAN or Internet in real time. With the NEWPORT iTHX, there is no need to invest time and money learning a proprietary software program to log or chart the data.

Powerware Environmental Monitoring Probe

The Powerware Environmental Monitoring Probe (EMP) enables you to remotely monitor environmental conditions as easily as you monitor power conditions. Using a standard Web browser, you can view the ambient temperature and humidity of the remote environment, as well as the status of two additional contact devices, such as a smoke detector or open-door sensor.

Sensatronics/ActiveXperts Environmental Monitor

Environmental monitoring equipment is not something new. Manufacturers, distributors, hospitals and hotels have been using the basic technology for decades to monitor industrial processes, freezer temperatures and other factors relevant to their operations. When there was a problem, a light on a control panel would switch from green to red and the engineer on duty would go take a look at what was going on.

Some of the common probes include:

  • Temperature - This is the most popular item. You can monitor the temperature for the datacenter as a whole, or can place a sensor on a particular rack. They are also useful for locations such as server closets where it is unlikely anyone will be around to notice a rise in temperature;
  • Humidity - If the humidity is too high, it leads to corrosion. Too low and you have problems with excess static electricity;
  • Water - Water on the floor, whether from a broken pipe or a leaky roof, can cause electrical shorts.

ActiveXperts Network Monitor supports the following models:

  • Model EM1 - includes 4 groups of 3 probes to monitor temperature, humidty and wetness on three different locations;
  • Model E4 - includes 4 probes to monitor temperature on four different locations;
  • Model E8 - includes 8 probes to monitor temperature on eight different locations;
  • Model E16/CM16 - includes 16 probes to monitor temperature on sixteen different locations.

SensorHawk by

Environmental threats can cause a lot more damage than hardware or software problems. Redundant hardware, backup tapes, UPS battery arrays, generators and other fault-tolerance measures can all be rendered useless if your server room overheats or floods. offers a full suite of environmental monitoring solutions with built-in email alert systems. You can monitor the following metrics:

  • Temperature
  • Humidity
  • Water / Liquid Detection
  • Smoke
  • Air Flow
  • Motion
  • Phsyical Security
  • .and more!

ServersCheck Environmental Sensors

ServersCheck markets affordable IP enabled sensors for monitoring environmental conditions in server rooms: temperature, humidity, power failure and water detection. The sensors are managed and monitored through the ServersCheck Monitoring Software.

This software is available as a download version or as a standalone appliance. It runs on a central system and monitors all network based sensors over tcp/ip from one single location.

When a problem is detected, alerts can be generated via email, SMS (cell phone text messages), telephone voice calls (using text-to-speech), signal tower (visual and audible alerts), and much more.

By using a GSM modem alerts are sent over the cell phone network. This ensures that alerts are still sent even when the internet or internal network connection is down. SMS messages can also be sent to the software to obtain status information. Check out the live SMS demo available on our website.

Companies around the worl are using ServersCheck's products to monitor, report and alert on their systems availability and/or conditions. The solution is available in 38 languages. A free trial version of the software can be downloaded from the link below.
