PARALLEL-MIB.mib object view, vendor RFC

Introduction

Most network devices and programs ship with so-called MIB files to describe the parameters and meanings (i.e.: friendly names) which are available for monitoring via SNMP.
ActiveXperts Network Monitor 2024 can import vendor-specific MIB files, so it can be used to monitor specific OID's (Object Identifiers). This way, you can monitor your devices, computers, etc. by selecting your relevant OID's by name.

ActiveXperts Network Monitor 2024 can import MIB file PARALLEL-MIB and use it to monitor vendor specific OID's.

PARALLEL-MIB file content

Object view of PARALLEL-MIB:

Scalar Object
paraNumber .1.3.6.1.2.1.10.34.1
The number of ports (regardless of their current state) in the Parallel-printer-like port table.
paraPortEntry .1.3.6.1.2.1.10.34.2.1
Status and parameter values for a port.
paraInSigEntry .1.3.6.1.2.1.10.34.3.1
Input control signal status for a hardware port.
paraOutSigEntry .1.3.6.1.2.1.10.34.4.1
Output control signal status for a hardware port.
Tabular Object
paraPortIndex .1.3.6.1.2.1.10.34.2.1.1
The value of ifIndex for the port. By convention and if possible, hardware port numbers map directly to external connectors. The value for each port must remain constant at least from one re-initialization of the network management agent to the next.
paraPortType .1.3.6.1.2.1.10.34.2.1.2
The port's hardware type.
paraPortInSigNumber .1.3.6.1.2.1.10.34.2.1.3
The number of input signals for the port in the input signal table (paraPortInSigTable). The table contains entries only for those signals the software can detect and that are useful to observe.
paraPortOutSigNumber .1.3.6.1.2.1.10.34.2.1.4
The number of output signals for the port in the output signal table (paraPortOutSigTable). The table contains entries only for those signals the software can assert and that are useful to observe.
paraInSigPortIndex .1.3.6.1.2.1.10.34.3.1.1
The value of paraPortIndex for the port to which this entry belongs.
paraInSigName .1.3.6.1.2.1.10.34.3.1.2
Identification of a hardware signal.
paraInSigState .1.3.6.1.2.1.10.34.3.1.3
The current signal state.
paraInSigChanges .1.3.6.1.2.1.10.34.3.1.4
The number of times the signal has changed from 'on' to 'off' or from 'off' to 'on'.
paraOutSigPortIndex .1.3.6.1.2.1.10.34.4.1.1
The value of paraPortIndex for the port to which this entry belongs.
paraOutSigName .1.3.6.1.2.1.10.34.4.1.2
Identification of a hardware signal.
paraOutSigState .1.3.6.1.2.1.10.34.4.1.3
The current signal state.
paraOutSigChanges .1.3.6.1.2.1.10.34.4.1.4
The number of times the signal has changed from 'on' to 'off' or from 'off' to 'on'.
Table
paraPortTable .1.3.6.1.2.1.10.34.2
A list of port entries. The number of entries is given by the value of paraNumber.
paraInSigTable .1.3.6.1.2.1.10.34.3
A list of port input control signal entries.
paraOutSigTable .1.3.6.1.2.1.10.34.4
A list of port output control signal entries.
Object Identifier
para .1.3.6.1.2.1.10.34
The MIB module for Parallel-printer-like hardware devices.
paraConformance .1.3.6.1.2.1.10.34.5
paraGroups .1.3.6.1.2.1.10.34.5.1
paraCompliances .1.3.6.1.2.1.10.34.5.2
Group
paraGroup .1.3.6.1.2.1.10.34.5.1.1
A collection of objects providing information applicable to all Parallel-printer-like interfaces.
